Sam Houliston (Senior Associate)and Mo Al Obaidi (Solicitor) from Hesketh Henry will guide you through the ‘need to know’ employment law requirements when you are seeking to dismiss a member of staff.

Sam and Mo will focus on the end of the employment relationship, the employment law test for justification, possible reasons for termination and the legal process to follow. 

About Your Speakers

Sam Houliston is a Senior Associate and joined the team in September 2017.   Sam advises employers and employees on all issues (contentious and non-contentious) arising from the employment relationship.  He previously worked for Auckland law firms as an employment, civil and criminal law litigator. He has also prosecuted health and safety matters for the former Department of Labour, and acted as an independent Accident Compensation adjudicator. More details

Mo Al Obaidi is a Solicitor in the Employment Team. Mo joined Hesketh Henry in 2016 after working at a highly regarded boutique employment law firm in Wellington. He also previously worked for an Auckland-based organisation acting exclusively for employers. More details
