This workshop is especially designed for employees in Human Resource Management and Recruitment in your company, who deal with matters related to immigration and employment law.

Employing applicants from outside New Zealand involves consideration of both immigration and employment law principles, and there are various visa pathways available to support the recruitment or secondment of talent and skills from overseas.

Immigration New Zealand will provide you with a brief overview of employer requirements for companies wanting to utilise the immigration looking at options for short and long term secondments and job offers.

Kensington Swan will guide you through the following:
1. Immigration – the process and steps employers need to take 2
. Employment structures – secondment, fixed term, overseas employers
3. Making offers – what you should include (and what you should not)
4. Key employment law and HR considerations when engaging and managing overseas employees
