To meet the Paris Agreement’s climate goals, global demand for critical raw materials is expected to quadruple by 2040, prompting the EU to strengthen supply chains through international partnerships, the Critical Raw Materials Act, and new domestic production and recycling targets to reduce reliance on non-EU sources.
