Publications

Our annual business publication Double the Vision gives an insight into the economic and political developments in both countries.

Auckland, October 2019 - The German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (GNZCC) is pleased to announce the release of the 13th edition of our bilingual trade magazine "Double the Vision".

"On behalf of the GNZCC Executive Committee, it is my pleasure to extend a very warm welcome to this edition of our Double the Vision publication. I hope you find the enclosed information and articles relevant, interesting and insightful. In contrast to current global uncertainties and in some jurisdictions a concerning shift towards a more protectionist trading environment, these are exciting times to be involved in business between our two countries. Bilateral trade continues to increase year-on-year and we are only just scratching the surface of what is possible in terms of German and Kiwi individuals and companies doing business together collaboratively. The realisation of a Free Trade Agreement between New Zealand and the European Union (and therein Germany, the powerhouse of the EU) will be a significant enabler in terms of accelerating future bilateral trade and encouraging new business opportunities. With over 130 German Subsidiaries in New Zealand, this Chamber continues to play a prominent role in terms of advocacy for inclusion of specific clauses in areas that provide mutual benefits for both countries generally and our members specifically. It is pleasing to see the progress being made towards finalisation of the Agreement. Whether you are a German business looking to expand your interests in or around New Zealand or a New Zealand business looking to establish your presence in Germany, I would encourage you to contact our specialist staff here at the GNZCC. We are here to help. Best wishes for good success in the year ahead." Jim Bibby President of the German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce.
