German Delegation Trip

In November 2025, the German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce will host a specialist delegation trip and business conference in New Zealand on Urban Water Resilience with a Focus on Extreme Weather Events. This water infrastructure project connects German expertise and innovative solutions with New Zealand’s specific needs and has strong potential to significantly enhance water resilience in New Zealand.

This initiative is part of the German government’s Market Entry Programme (MEP) and aims to support German SMEs entering the New Zealand market with practical, sustainable solutions.

Why this matters

New Zealand’s ageing water systems, climate change impacts, and increasing demands for reliable urban infrastructure are creating urgency for smart, robust, and future-proof solutions. Germany brings deep expertise in engineering, technology, and sustainability – and this project provides the platform for high-value collaboration. This is a great opportunity to connect German innovators and New Zealand companies and organisations to explore business partnerships.

The programme will include:

- subject to change as planning progresses -
