We had the honour of hosting a high-level networking reception at the New Zealand Parliament in Wellington with the Siemens Energy delegation from Germany, bringing together representatives from government, business, and industry.
Siemens Energy has just opened a new office in Wellington with 30 staff, further strengthening its presence in New Zealand.
Our CEO Designate, Joerg Schmidt, our Interim CEO, Iris Heinz, and our new GNZCC President, Christopher Griggs, welcomed Vinod Philip, Edoardo Prina, Beatriz Gutiérrez, Claire Sim, and Samuel Rene Morillon, alongside government representatives, business leaders, and key stakeholders.
The reception provided an excellent platform to discuss New Zealand's significant potential for onshore wind and its growing role as a strategic gateway to the Pacific, creating exciting opportunities for German businesses.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for an early breakfast meeting and contributed to insightful discussions and valuable exchanges. We look forward to continuing the dialogue and strengthening Germany–New Zealand collaboration.
