Project Overview

The German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (GNZCC) is promoting a trade mission this year, encompassing the Energy Infrastructure and Storage sector in the field of E-Mobility. The GNZCC is working together with German businesses (mostly SMEs) offering solutions and products for electric vehicle charging stations, green hydrogen transport, traffic management software, energy efficiency. The E-Mobility Project, a funded project through the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affair’s (BMWK) ‘Energy Export Initiative”,  connects leading technologies in energy infrastructure, green hydrogen, and e-mobility solutions with New Zealand’s needs for up-to-date electric transport infrastructure. With surging demand for electric vehicles and carbon-free transport over the coming years, it is evident that E-Mobility infrastructure must meet New Zealand’s needs. Particularly, since the current infrastructure is concentrated in urban areas, which may hinder inter-city transportation due to the lack of infrastructure in rural areas. This problem has been acknowledged by all echelons of government, and infrastructure plans are in the pipeline. The E-Mobility Project will help connect German expertise and cutting-edge solutions from industry leaders to New Zealand’s needs. These solutions are wide-ranging and useful in several different scenarios- from urban settings to heavy transport.

Our event

The German companies will present their knowledge, technologies, products, and services during this virtual conference held on the 7th of November, from 7.00 – 9.00 am. A panel of expert speakers from the industry, industry associations and government from Germany and New Zealand will provide valuable market information on both countries. This conference will be followed by virtual B2B meetings and workshops.

Participating companies:

COLIBRI Energy GmbH, located in Berlin and Frankfurt, Germany, is an innovation leader in lithium polymer battery systems. The technology used in COLIBRI Energy’s systems has its roots in innovation breakthroughs achieved between 2011 and 2013, partly with R&D support from the German Ministry of Economics. The company helps Airports, Warehouses, and Ground Handlers maximize efficiency through German engineered lithium technology. With reference projects, COLIBRI Energy has become a global market leader for advanced battery technology in 80 V airside logistics vehicles.

The energy transition poses major challenges for power distribution network operation: distributed generation and the electrification of mobility and heat supply must be integrated into a reliable power distribution network infrastructure. GridData GmbH offers DigitalTwin, a digital twin for the operation, optimization and planning of the low and medium voltage networks as a software solution. The digital twin is automatically generated from data from the power distribution network and enables the real state of the network to be reliably identified and predicted. Even if only a few measurements are available, it is possible to focus the power grid expansion on the real bottlenecks. As a consequence, there will result the  accelerated implementation of the energy transition with reduced grid expansion costs, increased grid efficiency, and increased grid reliability

The H2-Greenforce Group consists of experienced experts in the field of energy production, decarbonization and reduction of greenhouse gases. Using clean renewable energy to generate electricity and advanced hydrogen production technology, H2-Greenforce offers a truly scalable and flexible solution that serves hydrogen needs across all hydrogen use sectors. From the same system, H2-Greenforce can provide energy for e-mobility via its own charging stations. These are operated by H2-Greenforce and the company invites local companies, investors and municipalities to participate on an eye to eye level. The company has a wide range of expertise in the fields of hydrogen, energy storage and renewable energy generation in the national and global market. H2-Greenforce offers the best commercial solution to achieve the climate goals in mobility change and industrial use. A truly scalable and rapidly deployable answer to the rapidly evolving dilemma in the energy industry.

HeGo Biotec International GmbH is a medium sized company selling world-class iron hydroxide based products, which are amorphous and therefore highly reactive. More than 130 employees work for your success in removing H2S from various gases, e.g. Biogas, Landfill gas, Geothermal gas, as well as Phosphate and heavy metals from water. HeGo Biotec International GmbH supports a strong R&D-team to develop state-of-the-art products. Hence, the FerroSorp®-products are known for their fast reaction, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Parkstrom GmbH has been a full-service provider since 2012 in the field of installation and operating charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Our mission is the electrification of road traffic through intelligent charging infrastructure as a partial contribution to a CO2-free future. In addition to the planning and the manufacturer-independent sale of charging infrastructure that is installed by Parkstrom's contractual partners or the customer's installation company, Parkstrom takes on the technical and commercial operation of the charging systems.
