Join Our Team as the Wellington Regional Manager!

 

The German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (GNZCC) connects businesses to create opportunities between Germany and New Zealand. As the largest European chamber in New Zealand, we are uniquely positioned to support both New Zealand and German businesses in navigating an increasingly competitive global market. Germany is one of New Zealand's top trade partners, and with the new Free Trade Agreement with the EU, our relationship is set to grow even stronger. With our vibrant small branch in Wellington, we're expanding our reach and impact, bridging the gap between industry and government.

Our current Wellington Regional Manager is advancing to an exciting opportunity at our headquarters in Germany. We are now seeking a dynamic and talented individual to step into this pivotal role and help us continue driving our success in the Wellington region. The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Please note, this role will involve some travel, both domestically and internationally. Additionally, due to the time difference to Germany, there will be night calls required.

What You'll Do:

As the Wellington Regional Manager, you'll be the face of the GNZCC in Wellington, enhancing our visibility and influence within New Zealand's political landscape.  

  • Representation & Advocacy: Be the GNZCC’s representative at Wellington events and meetings, ensuring our voice is heard.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key partners and our members and attract new opportunities.
  • Project Execution: Lead Wellington-based projects and initiatives that align with our strategic goals.
  • Event Management: Host and organize engaging events that connect and inspire our members, partners and industry professionals. 

Who You Are:

  • An experienced stakeholder manager with a knack for building lasting relationships.
  • Well-versed in New Zealand’s political landscape, with a proven track record of working with government representatives.
  • A skilled organizer and event manager, capable of hosting engaging and impactful events.
  • A proactive and independent worker who thrives as part of a dynamic team.
  • Bilingual skills in English and German are an absolute advantage.
