About the role:

Based in Christchurch, the Account & Partner Manager is primarily responsible for the management and growth of our South Island Accounts and the management of our Supplier Partners in the region.

Primarily this encompasses seeking out new business opportunities and supporting our Partners to grow their businesses and maximise the Jungheinrich share of wallet. This requires completing quotations and tenders to the requirements of the customer base and management of Partner pricing policies and lists. A high performance in the account management process, delivery, customer retention rate and the conversion rate of successful sales results.

Core Tasks:-

  • Development of strategies to ensure growth and long-term business relationships for South Island Accounts incl. planning and execution.
  • Lead generation, calculation, negotiation, development and implementation of contracts and agreements for South Island Accounts. 
  • Support the Partner Network with technical and pricing requests and customer tender submission and presentations as required. 
  • Maintaining Partner pricing mechanisms including price books and quotation templates and sales tools.
  • Achieve set KPIs as outlined in the Sales Commission Policy.
  • Maintain and effectively use the CRM as required by the role and provide reports in a timely manner.
  • Setting a good example as well as giving instructions when looking for creative solutions, pricing and conditions that lead to the successful realisation of our market position.
  • Establish and maintain a good internal network, including After Sales and Administration departments. 

Skills and Qualities required: 

  • Interpret and apply key financial indicators relating to sales to make better business decisions.
  • Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions. 
  • Effectively build formal and informal relationship networks externally and internally.
  • Consistently achieve results even in tough circumstances.
  • Seeing ahead to future possibilities and developing strategies to achieve required results.
  • Take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Confident appearance & a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to understanding and communicate complex applications. 
  • Excellent communication skills with an attention to detail. 
  • A self-starter / manager with excellent time management skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in business or engineering related fields. 
  • Material Handling experience highly regarded – but not essential.
